Nick Ferraro & Company - disgusting customer service
I was trying to think of a word more fitting than disgusting, but that pretty much sums up how I feel after getting off the phone with Scott Lyckberg with Nick Ferraro & Company (out of Clearwater, FL) this morning.
This is the company that handles property management in my neighborhood, and I called yesterday to express my concerns about a dangerous situation in my neighborhood.
Below are the parts I noted down, there was more. Keep in mind he was speaking down to me as if I was stupid this entire conversation. S = Scott Lyckberg, me = me
S - I got a message that some kids were being rowdy, jumping off some boards at the pool.
me - Yes, I was concerned someone might get hurt and I wasn't sure who to call.
S- What do you expect me to do about it?
me - As the property management, I thought you would be the ones to go to in this type of situation
S - Did you tell them to quit? The adults need to take control in these situations.
me - There were people telling them. They were blatantly disregarding everyone there.
S - Did you get there names? You should have got their names, then maybe I could send the parents a letter. If they were under 18 they shouldn't be there unsupervised. You could point to the sign and tell them to leave.
me - no, next time I will ask them to write down their names. I wasn't going to start a fight with some high school kids. I didn't realize you wouldn't have any power to do anything. Next time I will call someone else.
S - I'm not omnipotent. I can't control everything that goes on there. Do you want me to go over there now? I think they're probably gone. What do you want me to do about it?
me - I didn't call you to be chided like a little kid.
S - Why did you call then? We know that type of stuff happens, but that's when the adults need to step in and take control. We can't monitor the place 24 hours.
me - I just wanted to inform you what's going on.
S- ok, thanks.

This shouldn't need to be stated, but don't argue with your customers. We pay the property management service, we pay homeowners assocation dues.
I'm new to dealing with this company, so I'm not passing judgement on the company as a whole. Just informing you should you be deciding whether or not to deal with Nick Ferraro & Company or Scott Lyckberg.

I completely understand. We have them for our neighborhood, too, and they are awful. Scott is a nightmare.

We too have them for our neighborhood. What a disaster. The worst management company. We are stuck.

Your not alone. We have them for our community and they are the worst management you could possibly have. It is disgusting and I am in shock how they treat people and especially when they are collecting our money.
